We raise chickens and guinea fowl and have two good coops with runs. We have a need for growout pens for our chicks and keets and decided to give this one a try. For the price, we didn't have high hopes, so we were not overly disappointed when we opened the box and saw the low quality wood and hardware.

We switched the catio to make it taller instead of low and long. (If that makes sense) and it all worked out and my cat loves it. Good price and good buy.

I purchased this catio as an addition to an existing catio that I built four years ago. Our four adult cats had outgrown the original and we wanted to give them more room to stretch out and the novelty of something new to explore would help to stimulate them for this summer at least. The catio arrived ready to assemble and each piece was well made, the directions were easy to understand and the quality of the product was surprisingly superior to what I had expected. We did screen each panel as an aid to lessen the number of insects that could invade the catio. From start to finish, and that included stapling screen on every single piece, was about four hours and that included a lunch break and clean-up. We customized the end that is attached to the original catio so the cats could enter safely. As a side note, we have customized covers out of heavy gauge clear plastic for each catio to keep out heavy rain, allow them to still see out and allow light in and to help keep the chill out when the weather turns colder. Overall, I am pleased with everything about this catio, including the price.

I put this together myself, and I am not handy at all. Both my cats went into the enclosure together and appeared to enjoy it. I found it to be very sturdy and well worth the money. The roof is great.

Cons
- Our cat got some visible cuts on his nose, probably from rubbing his face on the wire. (To fix this, we are putting a screen/mesh over the chicken wire on the inside)
- Shipping Costs a fair bit (which is understandable) but check because it's not included in price until checkout.
- Lightweight so I used a few cinder blocks to line the outside so he doesn't push it away from our window
- Platforms are on the small side, but you can choose to double them up on one side which helps.
If your looking for a low budget Catio, this does exactly what it's intended to do. Might have to make a few adjustments but nothing major to make it work for you

Fairly easy to assemble. My cat is still thinking about liking it. He stays out by himself for about 10 minutes then wants in. Of course he also thinks he is a dog.

Very easy to assemble and very stable. The shelves are not large enough, however. The shelves should be longer & deeper. My cats like to lay down on shelves: these are too small for my cats. But I have large cats. It would be so fun for kittens!

Just the right size playpen, easy to assemble, my 17 yr old daughter helped me and we managed in a couple hours if that. I chose a playpen that can fit a person, so you can sit with your kitty if you want. Easy fun project and looks nice when your done.

Very easy to put together, roomy with high ceiling. We were able to fit in a cat ottoman, trixie cat tree and a litter box so that our outdoor kitty can stay safe and warm inside at night.

I waited a while to write this review to make sure it held up, and it has held up fine. It is sturdy and well designed. My cat absolutely loves it! I have it set up so he can go in and out a cat door whenever he wants, and he is out there a lot. He loves to be able to go outside. I put a couple boxes out there with towels, so he has a cozy spot, but he also uses the built in shelves a lot. You do need tools and a little skill to set it up.

Great value for the price! I am a service engineer so I take stuff apart and put it back together, thats my job experience. I have one huge negative and a quality complaint on the slide bolt assembly. If your not mechanically inclined or don't have a friend who is. You will be frustrated in putting this together. There are no written instructions in English on how to put this together! It's all pictures!
One, make sure to have another person assisting you, Two, make sure to put this together on a FLAT surface! It must be square so that the holes that are in the pieces line up and go thru straight! If not, the roof pieces will not line up with the frame without someone pushing the frame into place. 4, put your screw gun on the lowest torque setting so not to strip the wood! 5, go to your local hardware store or big box and buy a decent slide bolt assembly. The one that is provided is poorly made and you have to fiddle with it to slide correctly. 6, Your cats will thank you for the effort!

This was more spacious and roomy than I expected. I am able to sit in it comfortably with my cat. The roof is shingled which helps with the elements and not just wood that could rot. The door latch could be a little sturdier and lower in case my cat tries to escape. I would definitely buy again.
