Just have to keep your hands ...MorePerfect for our three-month old Yorkshire Terrier. He will go #2 on it occasionally, if we catch him with any given cue. Just have to keep your hands up and away, but down to block him from leaving the turf until he goes. Going #1 for our furry friend he I had it figured out that he gets a treat after, and sometimes he will even go there all by himself. Perfect with a pee pad underneath for easier clean-up. Odor isn’t bad for this little pupper. Little spots, less odor I presume. You do have to clean-up #2’s because it deters him from wanting to go near the same spot as his waste, but then again we don’t wanna smell that either, so we flush it. Also, we wipe the spot of grass clean. He generally only chews at the grass when he see’s us put a pee pad underneath, or it’s peaking out around the edges. Our pupper loves to chew up those pee pads. This is good for us during Midwest winter that officially was the start of winter yesterday, anytime below 45 it’s too cold. We still can’t even fit any dog/cat collar around his neck that not too big. He’s been pretty impressive with this doing #1’s nearly always if you follow the pattern, and cues. Just saying, “outside,” after naps, play, and around fifteen minutes of drinking water.

We have a small, handicapped elderly dog who simply cannot handle going out in the cold anymore. At least not for more than the briefest of moments: After just a couple minutes outside he will flop over, immobile. I thought he was being a smidge dramatic but our vet said, "No no no, he will just lay down and die if you let him." !! So I searched and found this product. It is working perfectly. Our sweet little pup took right to it and now this is exclusively where he potties. He's visibly very happy with the arrangement. Very thankful for this product. (If you see a little blue peeking out in the picture that is because we are using puppy pad liners to make the clean up a little easier.)

While yes it may sound gross that it seeps into a tray as long as you clean it daily or 1-2 times a day it’s not gross. Just careful picking it up and wear gloves to lift and rinse it. The only thing for me was that the grass falls off easy like little debris but it’s expected from a replaceable Mat so I wasn’t surprised. Right when I set the mat down my dog laid in it thinking it was a bed but quickly understood and squatted and peed! I still put some puppy Matt’s around so she understood that was her potty spot but for the most part she gets the concept which isn’t bad for a 2 month old puppy.
Tips: Also potty training tip if your dog has a accident place the mat near where the accident occurred so they go their since they have claimed that as their potty spot. He doesn’t like to poop on it, so we place a regular training pad on each side for his BM. He is small breed and has no issues using as intended. Clean up is easy. No problem with the tray, we place the paper training pad in the middle. I can go 7 - 10 days before I have to clean but he goes outside as much as possible. The overall turf was a lot better quality, but extremely short. The puppy pad was annoying and cleaning it was a process. Not to mention it was $44 after tax.
Then I went on Amazon and bought the same brand, but larger (and def different quality) for cheaper (only $19.) I like the turf of the first one better because it's nicer quality. However, the plastic divider from this one on amazon is WAY easier to clean. The drying time is very minimum.
I'd say for the price I'd recommend this one off of amazon since you are buying something for your dog to literally shit on. Not to mention it's a decent size larger and half the price! Just thought if any of you tried to buy in-store first you'd like to know the comparisons. This has been a lifesaver through the potty training process.

We ordered the larger one as we weren't sure how small the small one is. It didn't have too strong of a plastic smell, but did have a lot of particles from packaging all over it, so don't forget to clean it off as your dog can eat them and choke on them since they're pretty small.
Our dog was scared of this new object first but after a few sniffs went potty right away. I am so happy with this purchase - our little Luna loves grass and loves having a little patch of it in the house. The grass is very soft but sturdy, so it doesn't pull or fall out easily. We were tired of torn and chewed-on puppy pads every time we'd come home after being away for even less than an hour, so we decided to buy this. I highly recommend this product! You will not regret buying it!
