It would be nice if it came with a tray for the bottom. I am using a tarp now. It is perfect for my needs, but it would also be great if it did not collapse when I lift it to clean the wood chips. Size is great for the growing chicks, post heat lamp.

I think this brooder is a well-made one, easy to set up and use, but would caution against keeping chicks in the house with it. We use pine shavings for litter and our chicks love to scratch, the brooder does not contain the mess. Since we are keeping them in our house, I have to clean up at least once daily. The other drawback is that the top can't open fully so when chicks triy to hide in the back corner, it is really difficult to get them out.

Super easy to move and stow away when it rains, I dont want to risk leaving it outside and it fits in my hall closet. Im actually using this to rehab a squirrel, one part of the top boards is a little twisted, but its been hard to find quality wood in the last few years so you cant really fault them for that. The chicken wire is sturdy, pretty even, a couple ends wear loose but I just cut them off, this isnt really something to worry about with non climbing pets, all in all Im very happy with the purchase and so is ms. Kiwi
