She still is happy to "go" on real grass later in the day. My only complaint is the urine is held in the turf for a while and she tracks wet paws off the matte. If you use it inside, be aware of your pup tracking pee. This size slides under a bench on the deck where it is out of the hot desert sun. Our pet was already trained to use a grass pad in carport on rainy days. Having it under the bench saves floor space and she likes her privacy. We havent had a drop of urine on our new deck. This does the job.
