It took us several hours to put this contraption together & our cats immediately liked it & voluntarily go in, whether we want them to or not. It IS useful & I have recommended it, BUT there are numerous "problems"... 1. It's as if whoever invented/designed this has NEVER lived with (or even met) a cat. 2. The ladders are pretty much useless & our cats don't use them AT ALL (too unstable). 3. I don't really know what the big plastic tray at the bottom is for, exactly, but the cats like to lay on it when it's outside the playpen/cage. 4. We put numerous toys inside for them to play with (mice, kicking toy, etc.), but space is limited so most toys wouldn't really work in there. 5. I'm not sure what the hammock is for & NONE of our cats go inside it, though they do seem to enjoy chewing on the metal clips that it attach it to the cage. 6. The pads are VERY thin & we put an extra blanket inside in case they ever want to sleep there. 7. The assembly process is slightly complicated, but fortunately, the instruction manual is detailed, so you can follow the steps step by step, and you can finish it successfully in the end.
