Gingerbread Dog Treat Recipe
Nothing says the holiday season like the smell of gingerbread. And we decided to whip up this ginger-licious treat for our furry friends. This Gingerbread Dog Treat Recipe is made up with ginger powder, molasses, honey for sweetness, and just a touch of cinnamon. Perfect to leave out for Santa Paws – or any nice pooch on your gift list.

Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon ginger powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together all-purpose flour, ginger powder, baking soda, and cinnamon.
- In a small bowl, combine the egg, molasses, honey, and vegetable oil. Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix well.
- Divide dough into four balls and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 3 hours, or freeze for about an hour.
- Once the dough is cold, flour your surface, unwrap the balls, and roll the dough out into about 1/4″ thickness. Cut out using cookie cutters and place shapes on cookie sheets.
- Place in oven and bake for 20-25 (or until the cookies start to brown)
- Remove from oven and let cool on racks for 2-3 hours. Keep treats stored in fridge or freeze in airtight container.
