- 1 cup oat flour
- 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh or dried raspberries
- 1/4 cup dried rose hips, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup dried rosebuds, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/4 cup water or rabbit-safe vegetable broth
Instructions
- Preparation: Make sure all ingredients are fresh and safe for rabbits. Rose hips and rosebuds should be organic and free from pesticides. Oat flour should be finely ground.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the oat flour, chopped raspberries, rose hips, and rosebuds.
- Add Liquid: Stir in the honey (if using) and then gradually add the water or broth until a dough forms. The dough should be moist but not too sticky.
- Knead the Dough: Knead the dough lightly until all ingredients are well combined.
- Shape the Cookies: Roll the dough into small balls and then flatten them slightly to form cookies. You can use a cookie cutter to make them more appealing if you wish.
- Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned.
- Cool: Allow the cookies to cool completely before giving them to your rabbits.
- Serve: As per your recommendation, give up to one cookie per day to your rabbits. For smaller bunnies, cut the cookie in half.
